Little Rivers Canyon, Alabama Kelly Ingram Park – a powerful series of statues line the site where many of the key civil rights demonstrations took place during the 1960s. This is where the police response to the demonstrators fell under the direction of the infamous “Bull” Connor. The 16th Street Church where four black girls were killed after a bomb went off. Today is is next to the Civil Rights Institute. A memorial to the four girls across the street from the church in Kelly Ingram Park. Eddie Kendricks Park – honoring The Temptations, who originated in Birmingham.
