2020 World Press Photo Nominees

We ALL know the news is often bad. Fire, plane crashes, border walls, demonstrators clashing with police. So don’t expect some of these images to necessarily be easy to look at. However, they do show how a moment in time can tell a compelling story.

More than four thousand image submissions from 125 countries – a total of nearly 74,000 photos.
